In Fall 2010, A seed was planted that began the journey for the12 peach roses at Sac State. Before they started down the road to the land of peach and black, these women had never envisioned themselves being a part of Greek life. Nevertheless, they all searched to be part of a community where they could be appreciated for their unique personalities and cultures, while still making the most out of their college experiences.

     Although there were many other sororities on campus, none held the diversity and sisterhood that these women had been longing for. Wanting and searching for something different, they knew they had to look elsewhere. Putting their eyes towards the east, they drew upon a sisterhood that encompassed all they had been searching for. So, without any hesitation, Zeta Sigma Chi, Multicultural Sorority, INC. was brought to Sacramento, California.

      They wanted to bring the Radiant Z-Chi sisterhood to Sacramento State University for all women who wanted to join a group where they had the opportunity and freedom to truly be themselves. Zeta Sigma Chi encourages bridging gaps and creating unity among all organizations on campus, not just Greeks. Furthermore, these peach roses envisioned the joining together of women from diverse cultures and backgrounds to be united as one.

      Since only the strong survive, with courage, wisdom, and determination these 12 diverse women founded the California State University Sacramento Associate Chapter on May 1st, 2011 and became the first chapter of Zeta Sigma Chi Multicultural Sorority on the West Coast, and the first RADIANT LADIES
